Heart House initiates an entirely new model of the spiritual experience which is seminary/divinity school, one based on individual light, on mutuality, and a listening trust in the deepest center of personal and divine companioning.
Mutuality: At the core of this experience of divine becoming are the Companions of Heart House -- a group of wise, compassionate, deeply spiritual individuals from across the inter-faith spectrum -- and you, the “Nearing Companion,” all entering and re-entering together this process of Godding, of actualizing our shared potential as children and expressions of the divine.
Post-denominational
Heart House recognizes the changing modes, expressions and vehicles of spirituality manifest in today’s lives. Many go beyond Hermann Hesse’s dictum “to eavesdrop at all the gates to paradise,” to enter through those gates into an inter-faith spirituality, sometimes rooted in one tradition while employing forms and practices from others, sometimes engaging in many, in a trans-pollinating of the garden of one’s spirit. Others may describe themselves as “post-denominational,” inhabiting a sacred space beyond or outside of specified spiritual traditions.
Heart House embodies traditional, inter-faith, trans-denominational and post-denominational realities in its Companions, welcomes the same in its Nearing Companions, and in all that we undertake together.
